Benvio

GROUPS & MICE INQUIRY VALUE

Work Out What One More Answered Inquiry Is Worth

Enter your own inquiry volume, how many reach a price, how many you win and what an event is worth.

The calculator prices one point of coverage at your own win rate, and shows the upside of a scenario you set yourself. Nothing is pre-filled and nothing is assumed about how your team works today.

Your Groups & MICE numbers

Nothing is pre-filled. Every figure in the result comes from what you enter here.

Across the properties you are responsible for, through every channel.

A proposal carrying an actual price, not an acknowledgement or a callback.

Confirmed business, on the same period as the inquiries above.

Rooms, meeting space and food and beverage together.

Enter your inquiry volume and how many reach a price to set a scenario.

YOUR RESULT

Fill in the four figures on the left and the result appears here. The calculator needs at least one proposal that carried a price, because your win rate is derived from your own numbers rather than assumed.

THE METHOD

How the Calculation Works

Your win rate is derived, not assumed. It is the proposals you win divided by the proposals that carried a price. Applied to the value of an event you win, that gives what a single additional inquiry reaching a price is worth to you.

The scenario multiplies the same win rate and event value by the extra coverage you set on the slider. It holds your win rate steady on purpose: it prices more inquiries reaching a price, not better selling once they do.

That is the whole model. Four figures you provide, one scenario you set, and two multiplications. No industry benchmark enters the calculation at any point.

LIMITS

What This Calculator Cannot Tell You

It measures nothing. It calculates. The four figures come from your reporting or from memory, and the result inherits whichever it was. The Groups & MICE Assessment exists to measure the same numbers on your own inquiries instead of estimating them.

It says nothing about why coverage is where it is. An inquiry can fail to reach a price because nobody saw it, because the property had no availability and the conversation stopped there, or because it was never viable. Those have different answers, and the calculator does not separate them.

It does not model speed. Time to price is a real commercial KPI, and one that many organisations never track. It is absent here because converting hours into euros would need a measured link between response time and the final win, which this calculation does not have.

It is not a Benvio result. The scenario describes a level of coverage you consider reachable. Reaching it is an operational change, and the calculator makes no claim about what produces it.

FAQ

Calculator FAQ

What counts as an inquiry that reaches a price?
A proposal that carries an actual price for what the client asked for. An acknowledgement, a request for more detail or a promise to come back is not a price. The distinction matters because only a proposal with a price can be compared against other hotels and converted.
Why is nothing pre-filled?
Because a default figure is a claim about your commercial operation before you have said anything. Chains differ widely in how they handle incoming B2B demand, and a benchmark loaded into the first field would assume the answer. Every number in the result comes from the numbers you enter.
Where do we find these numbers?
Inquiry volume is the hardest one, because in many organisations nothing counts a B2B inquiry before someone answers it. Priced proposals and won business are usually available from your CRM or from the sales reporting you already run. If you have to estimate the first field, the result is an estimate too.
Does the result mean Benvio will produce that amount?
No. The calculator returns the value of the gap between the coverage you have today and the coverage you set in the scenario, at your own win rate and event value. It is arithmetic on your figures. It is not a forecast, and it does not attribute any part of that value to Benvio or to any other change.
What if we already answer most of our inquiries?
Then the scenario upside will be small, and the calculator will show that. The figure that still matters is the value of one more inquiry that reaches a price, because it prices a single point of coverage at your own win rate. That number is useful whether your process is under pressure or already working well.
Why does response speed not change the result?
Turning response time into money would need a measured link between how fast a hotel answers and whether it wins the business. This calculator does not have that link, so it does not model one. Time to price is still worth tracking as a commercial KPI in its own right.

Replace the Estimate With Your Own Measured Numbers

The Groups & MICE Assessment measures how incoming inquiries are handled across your properties: how many arrive, how many reach a price, how long that takes and where demand stops moving. You get the baseline instead of an estimate of it.
